Studies show that 87% of all meetings and activities at a church involve a hospitality committee
According to "A History of First Presybterian Church of Elizabethton", in 1917 the ladies of the church raised money at a dinner and bazaar. This may well have been the beginning of the Hospitality Committee. And when the present church building opened in 1964, the Hospitality Committee provided a reception. The Hospitality Committee continues to this day to play a major role in the life of the church.
